These are the two rear radius rods That I am aware of for the Improved models. The first one is the 2 nut style that has the large V at the rear of radius rod for large drums. The second one is the single nut design and also has the large V at the rear for large drums. The earlier small drum radius rods had a smaller V at the rear. The larger V was needed to clear the brake cam boss area of the housing. I have also shown a large V on top of an earlier small V for comparison. From my observations I believe the two nut style was used in early production, and the one nut style sometime later. ???

This is the 3rd thread in the coverage of the rear axle assembly. I believe the 3 threads should cover all the changes in the Improved rear axle assembly. If there are any more items I should cover for the rear axle assembly, please let me know. Thanks for everyone's participation so far. The threads have been staying Improved car, item specific, and very little thread drift. Once done with the radius rods Ill move on to the front axle parts. Thanks again ....

I believe there was a right and left radius rod. Perhaps we should mention that the seam should face down to let water drain out of the radius rod when the vehicle has the dirty side down!

Arnie, You are correct about the seam needing to be on the bottom of the radius rod. That does make for a right and left. I have seen lots of radius rods that have "frozen" during the winter. It either makes a "round" radius rod or "split" radius rod. All "frozen" rods I have seen on cars, had the seam on top. Thanks for bringing it up.....
