I’ve got a late Kingston L4 carburetor with the swivel adjusting needle and cast raised letters “Kingston” and “Made in USA” on the body. It doesn’t have a data plate nor are there any rivet holes to suggest there ever was one. Is this typical of the raised letter L4's? Secondly, there isn’t a hole in the bowl at the usual spot for a drain valve. Was this a quality control oversight or a cost saving measure? I don’t know how one is supposed to drain the carb the way it is. Does anyone have a late L4 for comparison?
