I am looking for anyone that may have the belt rail wood used on the 23 roadster. I want to improve the 1923-25 roadster re-wooding plans and add them to the set. Send me an e-mail if you have the original belt rail wood that I can buy or use to draw up the plans for them.

still looking for the 23 roadster belt rail wood
Leon, I know several people that have updated their belt rail with PVC. It is very bendable and holds nail/tacks like fury. It does not add structural strength to that area and you must have good wood under the rail. Just 2 cents worth of advice. Dick C.
From the wording in his posting, I think Leon is looking for original wood to measure in order to update his plans, he doesn't need the wood to redo a car (at this time).
I also think he is looking for the "belt rail" type of wood, and not the "tack strip" The belt rail is inside the body sheet metal, and made up of individual pieces of boards. The tack strip is a 3/4 X 3/4 inch strip that sits on a "lip" outside of the sheet metal. The tack strip is what they use the PVC for.
Yes I am looking for the belt rail wood that is about two inches wide and goes inside the body sheet metal. I do have the belt rails for the 1921-25 tourings and drawings.. I do not have the sheet metal for the roadsters that use the belt rail. If I had the correct 23 sheet metal I would take the touring belt rail for the front seat and make them. Then make a drawing from that.
