That looks like the rare amber encased coil,....

... a similar one was found in one of the burial chambers in the Tomb of the Kings, Egypt.

Box looks to be some kind of plastic. Do not think it was made in T times. Why would a company make a demo/training coil in the 1940s to 1970s? Does not look home made. Looking for any info someone may have. Thanks, Dan.

how would you open it to repair it? Where is the insulating tar that is said to be very important in a coils operation?
Bound to be something designed for educational use.
Remember hit and miss engines used T style coils as well so it coulda been used in basic education for engine repair.

Do the points have a name on them?
