Making a sign for my 25 TT about it is there anyway to tell how many were made and about how many are still around?
A bunch. Like maybe over 300,000 in '25 given the figures listed in the encyclopedia link on the forum. They don't specifically say "TT" so I'm interpreting what I'm seeing. You decide.
I was thinking that I might have the only TT in my city, just guessing. I went over to another guys place to look at some floor board mounts, he had 7 TT's in his back yard !! I was shocked,Think there is a pretty large number still around.
Ronnie,
There is no easy way to tell how many 1925 model year Ton Trucks (TT) were made. Ford did their book keeping by calendar year from 1921 to 1927. And at: http://www.mtfca.com/encyclo/fdprod.htm we see they produced WORLD WIDE 186,810 TT chassis without starters and 119,624 TT chassis with starters. Note all the TT chassis produced outside of the USA were starter equipped (or listed in the starter equipped column). For 1925 calendar year the US produced 62,496 starter equipped TT chassis and the other 186,810 were non-starter equipped.
For additional details please see the posting Define a TT at http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/411944/478116.html?1410354702
