With our tour just a month away, today Ed Emerson and I drove around to most of the stone bridges on the route to see which ones would be best for picture locations and whether they needed brush cleared for better viewing. The county has agreed to do some clearing if we let them know where it's most needed.
The Floral Bridge is one that could use some vegetation removal.
This little cabin is a new replica of an 1874 pioneer homestead.
The Crabb Creek Bridge was one where minimal clearing is needed. Ed is standing on the bridge.

My wife and I are really looking forward to this tour. A complete change of pace from most of the other events we've attended this summer.
Thanks to Ed and Steve for setting this up.
Steve - This sounds like a really great tour. I'd love to go on it, but we'll be on the Covered Bridge Tour in Parke County, Indiana on the same dates.
This is a big bummer! Maybe next time(I hope!).

Covered Bridge tour ends October 1st and I will be there. It's just too costly to get from Indiana to Kansas that fast. Wish we could though, it would be fun

It's a busy time of year. Looks like I'll finish the tour on Sunday and head for Hershey on Monday.
