Sitting having lunch with fellow Model T'er Mike Crowe here in Hutchinson KS with the State fair going on getting ready for the car show tomorrow saw at the restaurant a flyer for this.

If you have not taken a ride in the EAA Ford Tri-Motor I can tell you it an experience not to be missed. I do it every time it visits Lexington. Ask for the "right seat" (co-pilot), it costs a bit more, but is well worth it.
My friends grandson won the draw straw for this seat the last time we flew.

I would love to ride in one!!!!!!!! I made a huge paper model of the Tri-motor when I was a kid and even have a pilot's manual that my dad bought me because I liked the plane so much.
So where on the west coast can you get a ride in one? Scott
I rode in one at the Auburn Ca airshow in 2003. Quite an awesome ride.
When Island Airlines in Ohio was flying Tri-motors I chartered one for a convention nearby. Three trips around the Erie Islands and I rode the step up with a coat hanger for a seat belt.
That was 40 years ago. Never could happen today.
Ron is right. The right seat is the only way to fly in a Tri!
I flew in one a couple of years ago at the EAA event in Oshkosh, WI. It truly is an unforgetable experience.
I recommend that you "go for it!"
