We have a Christian Bluegrass festival, near where we live. I took the T to the festival over the weekend. There are lots of older 80+ age folks that attend. The T was well received. Lots of memories for some of the people. I even took several people for rides. Not just around the field rides, but about 6 miles of country dirt roads. One older man must have said thank you a dozen times. Sorry no pictures of the rides, its hard to drive and take pictures, and the wife was too busy listening to music to be bothered ... Although she did take one photo of me with the T. The music goes almost all night and its just like an old campfire meeting from the old days ...

Took my rustic 23 Centerdoor to the Nursing Home. Small car and tractor show for the residents of the home. Very worthwhile event to try and bring some fond memories back for the folks. I always wonder if the car will make the 30 mile trip. It did!

The main reason for taking the T was because of the amount of older folks who go to the Bluegrass Gospel Festivals. Probably 75% (or more) are late 70s or 80s. (a few were in their 90s) Our local car club does a car show for the Nursing Home once a year. The "oldsters" like to see all the Mustangs, Camaros ect, but they light up when they see the Ts. My Grandma (94 years old) stayed at home with us till the last couple years, then she had to go into the nursing home because of too many medical problems. I would take the T by and visit her. She would always "giggle and laugh" when she was around the T. Her mind was good till the very end. She could tell all the stories of her and grandpas many trips from Oklahoma to California in the Ts during the depression era. Most of the older folks at the bluegrass festival all had their own stories to tell. We had a great time .... It tour season here in Arkansas. Fall foliage will start soon, So more trips are planned ....

There is a group of us from Central Oregon and a group from up in Washington that are going this weekend to a Bluegrass Festival in Tygh Valley Oregon. We will be giving rides for a donation to the Festival and going for a drive on Sat. It is always a fun event and great music.
