Thank you Bud and Royce.

No, I don't have any idea of how much gas I used since I have the original Prest -O- Lite type hook up that has no guage at all. The tank was full when I bought it at Airgas and I think it will last for a long time. With my lights lit and the flame adjusted to the right level, they stayed exactly that way for the entire gaslight parade at the OCF. I also used them at a cruise in the next week after the OCF for maybe a 20 minute run time. They work great and I'm very happy with the Prest O - Lite tank instead of the carbide generator.

Between installing the Prest -O- Lite tank and having it work so nice and finally figuring how to post pictures on the Forum, I just know this is going to be a great week! :-)

I am still running on the original tank that was delivered with my Chalmers Detroit in 1910 and the gauge still shows it to be 1/3rd full. I usually do 3 or 4 gas light tours a year and frequently run the lamps to show people how they work. I assume you have an offset valve on your gas bottle and it is resting on its side with the valve up.

Val - Yes and yes. I have the correct offset valve on the tank and it's mounted on its side with the valve up. There is no guage on the valve, just the original barbed fitting that the red rubber hose fits on with a clamp on it.

Keith: Saw you '14 at the OCF and the Presto-lite tank looks appropriate. Although it is a "B" tank you have to really know the difference to know it is not an earlier Presto-lite tank. Did you have difficulties finding the offset valve tank? JP

Hi Jack - Yes, I know you were there & I saw you driving around in your Roadster Pickup, and....you left your card near the steering column on my '14. :-)

My Prest O - Lite tank was recently bought at Airgas and has all the inspection marks and stickers on it like it should have. They had two of these and I picked the one I liked best.

My tank has Prest - O - Lite embossed on the side of it in script. I thought about painting the script to high light it, but haven't done it yet. This tank does not have the brass guage on the bottom like the really old ones have, but that's ok with me.
