I like to spread my business around and support all my favorite parts dealers. In this case the choice was Lang's because I wanted a couple of things the others don't sell. So I called the 800 number and read off my list of five items to Ashley, and the deal was done in a couple of minutes. Within ten minutes after I placed the order I heard the chirp of incoming email, and there was my order with a complete listing of all the items, prices, shipping, total, order number, and a link for the USPS tracking number. The parts will go out today, and if all goes as usual they'll be in my mailbox Wednesday. It is an absolute pleasure buying from folks who have their act together like that, especially when you have a deadline approaching and need to get a job done.
When I buy T parts I usually go with Snyders unless another has something I need.
Snyders seems to get my order to me faster.
I have never had any problems with any T vendor and I recommend them to anyone.
For the above reasons I use Chaffins exclusively. Dave knows his parts, he knows their application, and most importantly he knows me! Since I live on the west coast I get my parts faster and in many cases pay less freight.
It is hard to find good venders like that. Buggies Unlimited is a good company for golf cart parts that operates the same way. Order today, here in 2 days.
I agree about Chaffin's. Not only does Dave know his stuff, he has helped me with his expertise even when there was no prospect of a sale. Also on my short list are Bob's and Birdhaven. In this case the choice was Lang's because of a couple of items the others don't carry. There's only one dealer I avoid, because of their lackadaisical shipping and snotty attitude. We all know who that is. I'm sure lots of people buy from them regularly with no problem, but I've inhaled enough smoke from that fire to stay well upwind.
I agree!!! Dave at Chaffin's was an immense help in rebuilding the Ruckstell in my car.
It doesn't matter who I order from it usually takes a week to 10 days to get here in the sticks. The only exception was the last order I placed to Fun Projects. That order was just a few small parts and fit in a padded envelope. I got it on the third day. For here, that's FAST! Only McMaster-Carr can equal that.
I have not bought any T or A part's in year's so i'm either cheap or lucky!! One thing that used to bother me was to open your shipment to find part of it on back order!! If the dealers tell you when your on line or the phone great!! If you open your box to find out not so much!! Bud.
Ken -- You might try TX T Parts. If I order from them early in the day, I often get the parts the next day. Late in the day, I get them on the second day after.
If I were on the left coast, I'd probably give Chaffin's a lot of my business. But for some reason, it takes about a week for the Pony Express to get over the Rockies. Lang's gets most of my business, unless I'm in a hurry for something. Then it's TX T or Bob's. I get great service from all of them.
I use Birdhaven in Colfax, Iowa, they are only 3 hours away driving distance. If I order parts buy 3PM I have them late the next afternoon buy UPS. Sometimes they are out of a part, then I go to Lang's and usually get it about 3 days later. Dave at Chaffin's gets my Ruxtell business and I agree, he really knows his parts.
and lets not forget, birdhaven parts come with tootsie rolls!
