This is a revisit to the same subject that was on the Forum last year. With all the interest in TTs, I have not yet seen the application of the Warford cast iron *six speed* PTO in any vehicles. It would seem that there would have been many uses for that auxiliary power for driving implements or powering other equipment.
Meanwhile I am doing it on a new project (TT mounted John Bean spray rig) and need the PTO attachment to the transmission. It is a standard SAE flange-mounted item, however it must mate with the Warford cluster/counter shaft. Here are some pics of the item I need. There must be one out there somewhere.
I feel that I need tho bring this thread up for more air. There have been no responses and I am curious about where the TT folks are who would be interested in doing something different on their trucks. In the absence of an original Warford PTO unit I am considering using a currently-available unit which mates to the standard 6-bolt SAE PTO flange. Has anyone researched this? I think I can make it work with rework/modification. Here is a picture of a standard Parker unit.
Keep us in the loop. J
I think I might have one laying on the shop floor - not sure it's an original Warford, but it's old though.
