Thank you for the shameless opportunity to show off my kids
This is south of Cannon Beach, at Hug Point State Park (about a mile or two away). The story we were told is that the only way you could reach Cannon Beach was by running on the beach at low tide (the tide is starting to come in my photo; you can see the high water marks in the background for comparison). At this point, the sand ran out, so they had to run on the rocks. The ruts are from wheels; stage coach, T, or otherwise. You can see the ruts at my kids feet also.
We are facing the opposite way to Jays photo. For folks familiar with the area, Haystack Rock is behind the T and just around the bend
