Went to the Fall Petitt Jean swap meet in Morriliton Ark. today. Im only going to be able to go the one day but it is still going Friday and Saturday, but the fall meet is very small. I did not see one model T ... There was a model T chassis with a nice set of 26-27 wire wheels and hubs for 2000.00 Sorry no photos I forgot the camera. I did find a Cyclone combination manifold and NH carb for 70.00, a nice clean 26-27 gas tank 60.00 a set of Accessory side lights (plus an extra one) that clamps to a windshield post for early cars. and an original 26-27 hubcap that Ive not seen before, may be another early 26 item . ??? Not much but not too bad for a half a day....
I forgot to say, I gave 50.00 for the side lights, and a dollar for the hubcap ...
A close up on the hubcap together with the usual wire wheel style would be interesting. Wire wheel production started january 20, 1926 according to Bruce.
I've seen some mentioning on the forum about some odd 1927 wire wheels with a larger hub cap opening more resembling Model A hubcaps, but no other varieties.
Looks like a Model A early 28 "AR" hubcap. You paid about the right price for it.
Royce, I never thought about an AR hubcap. A friend of mine has 2 AR Sport Roadsters. Ill have to check with him. I looked at my "1928" Model T parts book. It does show a illustration of this style hubcap.... Ill try to post a photo later. when I get back home ...
