8 am, it's cool (only 45) Seabiscuit and I are off to join the CNHMTC tour to N.H. Motor Speedway in Loudon for a guided tour and putting our Model T's on the track for some laps, not just the oval but the entire road course. 9 am, DD coffee and donuts, at Vinnie and Pat's house "the breakfast of champions". 9:30 am off for an hours drive over some scenic back roads to Loudon and the color is just starting to show on the beautiful fall foliage. 11:30 am after a guided tour all around the track we're set to try our turn racing at the N.H. Motor Speedway. I did 4 laps and It was great fun! Everyone worked up a big appetite so it's off the snack bar in the in-field. After lunch we're off again on some more scenic roads that will bring us back to Concord for a well earned ice cream stop. After the ice cream we all said our goodbyes and went our way home. A large bunch of very happy Model T drivers. 4:30 pm Seabiscuit and I pull into his stall happy to have spent such a great day with our Model T friends at the track and happy to be home.
Thank you for the great photos Warren. The stands should have been full for this event, instead of that NASGAS stuff.
Thanks Frank, the Granite T'ers had a really great time at N.H. Motor Speedway. Check this out:
The Granite T'ers on the track at NH Motor Speedway on 09-27-2014. Thank you, Vinnie and Pat for planning such a wonderful day! You'll see Ken and Sandy in their 1927 Model T coupe tearing up the track leaving lots of rubber and Bob in his roadster working hard to lap all the racers!
