Lookin' at a T in Cleveland, Ohio and I'm in Texas. Since I've been stung in the past when buying a car before seeing it I'm hoping there is a T person in that area that could look at the car for me and just listen to the engine and maybe drive it a short distance. I'm not worried about the cosmetics, just the mechanicals. If anyone has a suggestion I'd appreciate a PM from you. Thanks MTFCA

I should have said in my post that I would expect to cover any expenses in checking out the T. Thanks

John I am a 4 year novice but have been working on T's after a lot of 1950's 60's cars. But have learned a little bit Suggestion at a MINIMUM check if it is running and the following

compression 50 PSI plus

if it has a distributor (yuck) see what model it is and can you get parts (one of mine nope)

Check if it runs on magneto if not running you can still check the magneto output if the starter turns the engine over

check for leakage out the rear axle]]check that there is oil ion the engine and differential

check for loose bad wooden wheels

check for rotten deteriorated body wood

This is at a minimum Folks more knowledgeable than me can chime in

IF no one else can look at it who knows a lot more than me well I might be able to drive over
