26 improved Tourer,
History known from new, 2 from one family owners,
all numbering matching invoices still,
A Rajo and 3:1 Ruckstell fitted some 50 years ago.
Pulled her down for a rebuild, getting a little oil thirsty,
Now the find.
Still standard bore.(cast pistons)
73500 miles on the clock!!
Nice! I like cast iron pistons. I have had several Ts with them that ran so sweet.
Drive carefully, and enjoy, W2
Frank,
That's great. Do you happen to know when the car was assembled or first sold? That is a great advertisement for good maintenance, quality of the original design/parts, and probably driving it a little easier than wide open throttle all those miles/years.

For Hap, don't know build date, only a sale date.
I find it interesting that the dealer is still using the winged scarab logo that late in Model T production. Other references to it say that it was used by Ford only from 1912-1916. Maybe it was optional for the dealers.
Lots of other interesting things about the bill of sale, such as the buyer's name and address. "Mr. T. Hogg, Toolern Vale." (Spell check just went crazy.)
That name and location sound as if they were taken from a Hobbit book.
And then there is the fuel. 8 gallons benzine.
Frank,
Thank you so much for the sale date.
Respectfully submitted,
