...as proclaimed by John Elliott, weatherman at WCBS TV New York City, as today is the anniversary of the introduction of the Model T October 1, 1908.
John also said October is National Pizza Month and National Seafood Month...... lobster pizza, Hummmmm ??
Just think if it not only Model T month but also national ice cream month at the same time...we would have a bunch of very happy Model T folks
Well any excuse to take the "T" out for a spin may drive down to the beach. Maybe I can get one of the police to race me on his segway (sp?)
I guess I'll just drive the T to work today!
I need to make a Wal-Mart run this morning; I think I'll drive my T.
I think Liz and I will head out for a little ride.
On a side note
Corvette Guy at a car show had the following to say/ask:
Corvette Guy: You actually drove that car (16' T) 100 miles to attend this show???
Me: Of course! If you don't believe me, you can follow me home.
Corvette Guy: I trailer my Vette
Me: My horse works for it's hay.
On second thought.....
I think I'll dive Liz to work today (45 miles away)
Perhaps Oct 1st can also become "drive your T to work day"
Every day is "T Day"!
A friend introduced me to Model T's in 2007 and I am terminally addicted as those in the area know. I drive one of them every chance I get.
I was off the internet for a few Days, hence this late message. In Sweden October 4th is cinamon roll day.
I love cinnamon rolls! Especially Cinnabon.
Awesome info:?)
If you are serious about establishing a national "Model T Day" all you need to do is get the Hallmark greeting card company behind the idea. Cards with pictures of Model Ts should sell readily. It's a shoe-in. Look at all the holidays they are already responsible for, and they sell a zillion cards for each of them.
