George Clipner sent me a link to a 1937 Plymouth commercial on YouTube. Among other things, it boosted that in the first six years since the line was introduced in 1928, that Plymouth had sold 1 million units and after two more years, had sold another million units, and new for 1937 were an all steel roof and a four door with a 'humpbeck' (built in trunk. Sorry to rain on Plymouths parade, but the were many years Ford sold over a million units, prior to 1937. Ford had 'humpback' trunks available on both two and four door sedans since 1935, and Ford introduced the all steel roof in 1936.
