I raised my hand and nobody else did, so this is what I'm picking up tomorrow:

Any comments? This is my first T, so I'm no expert though I've been on the Forum for several years.

I'd say you did great, just like Tony the Tiger. Welcome to the affliction. You'll have a lot of fun. Mike

Looks reasonable to me. You could not restore one for that price! I hope it runs well and drives nicely.

Congratulations!

I have to say you bought the T at a great price! I would bet it runs and drives out really well. The only thing I can see is that the rims were painted black for some reason. But I wouldn't worry about that. Good car!

The car looks really nice. Here's what I would consider projects (all else being OK): The spokes are cracked and look like they've earned replacement. I would change the wiring because it's a sneaky cause of poor engine performance. Is the head bolt above the water outlet missing? In my opinion U done good!!!

Phil,
Phil,
Phil.
First a Metz?
Didn't you get a Hupmobile 20?
Now a model T?
You are doomed.
Nice T by the way, and wow. It would be tough to beat that price!
Congratulations!
Drive carefully, and enjoy, W2

Thanks. I was afraid you'd find lots of things wrong with it. I don't know how much it's been run since the last owner bought it in 1959. I'll try to "recommission" it soon. I always find helpful information here.

Great looking Model T. Drive and enjoy! You got it for half price or less.

Someday, if I ever get it done, you will have a Waltham carburetor that will fit on it even tho it's actually off your Metz.

It looks like a nice car for the money. I'd suggest checking out everything which makes it go, stop, and turn to be sure it's safe, then drive it like you stole it! :-)
