I am starting a new thread in hopes to spring some more discussion and clarification about a question I asked earlier in the week. My 1927 Canadian Tudor has a notch in the hood shelf, towards the rear, to account for a cowl-to-frame brace. It looks like someone in the past cut it out and did a sloppy job, at best. The part that Lang's pictures doesn't have the notch cut out. https://www.modeltford.com/item/4056-7D.aspx
Did every 1926-27 car have the cowl brace or just the closed cars? Was the notch standard? If so, why doesn't the repro part include it.
Nothing wrong with the old thread? http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/411944/484685.html?1412783376
Remember, this is Hershey week - many regulars are searching for rusty gold there instead of reading the forum
Jim, I have a couple pair of originals with the notch and both coupes I've had, had the brace. I'm not close to my fordor to see if it has the brace and notch.
