Friday morning I completed the #7's to put on my TT Doodlebug parked near the Albia High School. Made a quick trip to Birdhaven Vintage Auto to show a guy where to get parts for his 26 Coupe that hasn't been started in 12 years. In fact it was stuck when we looked at it on Thursday morning. Since we had rain that a.m. we decided to get that coupe going. After getting back with the parts I spent the next several hours moving the auger wagons and combine to the bean field in hopes we would be able to start harvest Friday afternoon. Then went back over to where they were working on the T. Phone rang. My brother-in-law said the combine died. The engine had locked up opening up the field. The mechanic was in the area and we pulled the motor out and sent it with him. Rushed down to the house to take the kids to football game. We lost our first game 21-20. I didn't have the #1's made to put on the Doodlebug to show our first loss. Phone rang. The guy's did get the Coupe running. Walked out the door this morning and I had run over a kitten the night before either going to the game or coming home.
sometimes if it wernt for bad luck, you'd have no luck at all
