Last week at Hershey I ran into Dennis Fleming and Steve Bumgarner of the MTFCI and they gave me a flyer for a new prewar meet. It will be next May in Luray, VA. This morning I asked Dennis for a little more information on the venue, and here it is:

Hi Steve,
Thanks for your inquiry. It was good to see and talk with you at Hershey last week. Your message appears to have come through fine today.

The meet will be primarily on well drained sod( Grass). The parking (approximately 3 acres) is also on grass and some gravel parking.

We will offer some vendor spaces under two 35 foot square pavilions ( 6 spaces per pavilion) and we have access to the building which will provide 8-10 inside vending spaces. The primary vending is approximately 3 acres.

There is built outdoor toilets (4 hole) and indoor bathrooms as well.

The VFW plans to provide food for the event.

There is electric on site but not for camping sites. Venders will be permitted to stay on site.

If you go to the website www.mapwsm.com and visit the contact tab, click on location and view the Google maps, click the satellite view and zoom in. There you can view the location. The back field is the vending area and the front field is for parking. The two pavilions I mentioned above are not in the image as they have recently been built.

If you have any other questions or any suggestions I will be glad to hear from you.

Thanks for your interest and hope to see you there,
Dennis Fleming

Information on dates, times, space sizes and prices etc., are on the website at www.mapwsm.com. Given the limited number of spaces under cover, it would probably be a good idea for vendors wanting them to make reservations early. This might be a good one for folks back east who can't go as far as Chickasha and Bakersfield.
