Simplemente probando para ver si este software puede hacer correctamente un nombre como Miguel Ángel Muñoz. Sí, se puede. :-)

It worked Steve, I have no idea what you said

So you wanted to see if you could put the accent's above the letters?

Which software are you using?

Software on my computer is OS X 10.6.8 and it's easy to make the diacritical marks with it. Naturally, Windows is more complicated, but still not bad. I just wanted to see if the forum software could handle it.

Just testing to see if this software can write a name like Miguel Ángel Muñoz correctly. Yes, you can.

So the real question is, who is Miguel Ángel Muñoz?

The two that I generally use the most in Dutch are é and ë, so I tend to remember the ASCII codes for them. The only other language I occasionally use on the forum is French, for messaging Olivier. When I do that, I have to have the ASCII table open in a separate window... :-)

OK, I understand, a lot of forums come up with odd symbols rather than the ones typed.

John, I just made up the name, but it turns out he's a real guy. Come to think of it, there's probably a real person for most made-up names. At least that's what my imaginary son, Cuauhtémoc Mohammed Oleandlena Jelf tells me. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0616475/

Great test... but how did I get all those diacritical marks in there?

I'll see your "dulce" and raise you an "Een roos, Een naam is het, meer niet. Geef haar een andere naam en het blijft een roos, die even zoet geurt." :-)

You've got to have those diacritical marks or else you can't tell your Spanish technician "que averigüe qué pasó con el cigüeñal" (to figure out what happened to the crankshaft)! :-)

Åter ett test: Är prickarna över vissa A och O synliga för alla?

(Yet another test: Are the dots over some A:s and O:s visible for y'all?)

Apparently you can use the Latin and Greek alphabets on the forum, but no others. Here's now Hangul (Korean) turns out:

당신은 라틴어와 포럼 그리스어 알파벳,하지만 다른 사람을 사용할 수 있습니다 (What I just said in English.)

Roger, I can see the dots OK.
