Well the car is almost done. I need to put on a tail light brake light (6 volt)

The tail light license plate bracket (picture) that came with the car has a 3 inch diameter missing light fixture but the fixture to hold the light assembly in place. I have bought a few older lights off of Ebay but none fit. Suppliers sell the entire fixture. Does anyone have a 3 inch light they would like to sell or know a source ?

Lang's sells just a light without the bracket, the description doesn't mention the diameter, but you could call or email them and ask.

That link provided is not the correct lamp - that is an early electric one '19 to '24 or in the neighborhood - you need this one - but just the tin cup, glass cup & retainer wire - don't know any vendor that sells just the tin cup. https://www.modeltford.com/item/8786CX.aspx

Or, you could order these three parts new from Lang's, and ask them whether they have a good used steel housing which goes with them. Tell them that you have the license plate bracket with the bulb socket and that's all. And, while you're at it, I'd go ahead and get a new bulb socket, plug, thimble, and bulb.

All you need is the lamp housing, and the glass tea cup to go inside. The lamp is held with a ring clip to the bracket. A red plastic lens goes into the housing first and then the glass cup fits into the housing,

Plus you need a socket and bulb.
