Sixty million manifold clamps were mfg by Ford. Rather easy to modify some worn out ones to make a pair of handy hands. :-)

That's a new one for me!
I tighten up the far left and right clamps first on the exhaust manifold then carefully slide in the intake manifold. It does turn in to a wrestling match though!

This way would work a lot easier. I'll try that next time.

You won't need any specials and you don't have to cut originals - just turn the rear and front one in a up/down position while the intake and the mid clamps are fastened :-)

(one of the hundreds of tricks I've learnt from the forum)

Gary, nothing special needed. Hold the exhaust manifold in place with one hand. With the other hand install standard clamps on the two end studs in a vertical position and run nuts up against them just finger tight. They'll be cock-eyed but no matter. This will leave your hands free to install the intake manifold with the two center clamps. Once these clamps are snugged up against both manifolds you can set the two end ones to their proper position and there you are. Bob

OH SURE! Anyone can do it with these clamps. It take a real man to do it the hard way. ;)
Wished I had seen this about 8 months ago. Thanks for the tip.
