Have only had this 25TT for two months now it has a distributor ran it three weeks ago to a show about four miles no problems now I have noticed that turning the lights on the ammeter moves but when turning key on and hitting starter button it don't move? Ideas the ignition switch is clean and tight also. Points look good and I have the capacitor grounded also

Your may have a problem with the starter contact. Neither the ammeter nor the ignition switch is involved with the starter contact or the starter action. Try hand crank the car, maybe you can get it to start manually :-)

Old starter contacts can usually be taken apart and be repaired. As usual there are bad repros around (and a few good ones)

A battery in need of changing and oxide in the battery connections can also case problems..

By starter contact I mean the foot switch for the starter. Ditch it, starters are unnecessary, most TT's were sold without them, I think. It's good exercise to hand crank your engine - and it's a good show for the bystanders :-)
