Here is a pic of my first wheel I built using the wheel press plans and instructions from Fun Projects. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I did put a small chip on the edge of one of the spokes but it is very small. I have five more to build. I wanted to have a front and a rear as spares. The spokes were from Stutzman's in Ohio. They are beautiful. Just need to put the final clear coats on the spokes.
Well done! I did my first set of wheels earlier this year and enjoyed the process.
Does it run true when mounted on the spindle?
That is the next test. My axle is apart, so I will report the results when I get the axle back in the car.
Been thinking about re doing my wheels, how expensive are the spokes?
On sale at $9.50 each at Bob's, right now!
