After working all day on the Racer, our good friend Greg Griffin came over in his '14 Runabout and we toured two Model Ts to dinner. Greg runs his period correct gas and oil lamps and we run our modern six volt system in the '27. The weather is still outstanding in Southern California. It sure was nice having a day off mid-week to work on Model Ts and still have time to take them out for dinner
Was a "Bit" cool for those that attended the joint HCCA annual Southern Cal./La Jolla Hollow Wean tour that was held at Big Bear Lake Ca. this last week end. Temp. got down to 19 Deg. with rain/sleet & snow. Those that adventured out Sat. morning turned back after approx. 1-1/2 miles due to safety reasons.....could not see with the sleet and roads were slippery. Sunday was sunny but cool....those that attended had a good time and will not forget their cool experience.
What did the cars eat for dinner?
Our days of taking the cars out for dinner are over for 6 months.
I assume the cars ate some gasoline and a bit of oil. They probably left a few oil drips when parked as a way of marking their territory.
