A few weeks ago, someone posted a diagram for a rear axle holder that they made out of plywood. I am rebuilding the rear axle in my 27 and would like to make one of these. I have tried searching for the thread but no luck. Can anybody help with this?

Cut a u shaped slot in a piece of plywood a little wider than the width of the axle tube.

Make the overall length of the board long enough to mount on a table in some sort of way. You could screw a 2x4 to it and mount it in a vise.

Here's another version. Two scraps of 2 x 6 bolted to the table. The piece in the foreground, beside the vise, supports the drive shaft housing.
