Read an article about someone swapping out the hollow tube tie rod for a solid one from a Mark Goldberg. Maintained it improved the steering qualities quite a bit. Anyone familiar with this?
I'm pretty sure the tie rod I bought from Snyders for my '20 Runabout two years ago is solid steel. It sure seemed heavier than the one I sent in to them.
Run one of his solid tie rods on the '27 touring. Works fine. Better idea IMO.
Cut off good yoke ends of bent tie rod and sent off for the solid rod mod.
Snyder's has been supplying the solid steel ones for Model A's for some time and no issues there.
