The Ocean County Vintage Club Museum in Point Pleasant was under 5 foot of water with 6 Model T's affected. My Model T mentor lost his house with his '27 Touring. The car has been rebuilt, his home now a empty lot. Viewed the trailer and saw a few families from my home town that I had no idea of their loss. My family was very fortunate having minimal storm damage while our neighborhood families had fallen trees on their homes, snapped power lines & poles & flooding. Co-worker and friends affected are still waiting for completion of house raising and rebuilding. Priorities have indeed changed.
"Sit down and shut up."
Yes, Ken ..... that is our Gov. Chris Christie. A no-nonsense, to the point, active leader.
No Bull, no crap, no non-sense.
....and with his weight loss he'll fit comfortably behind the wheel in any Model T !!!
I'd vote for him again any time.
He reminds me of Spiro Agnew.
Spiro Agnew was not a liberal Republican.
To All:
No intention of any political genesis, merely acknowledged picture.
Intent to focus on losses from the storm, with the small focus on Model T owners as part of the whole picture of rebuilding.
Yes, New Jersey has been on the national political news focus in recent months, should not be on the forum..... that's for another "forum" and time.
Has anyone checked their local PBS listings for this documentary ?? Please list your findings. Thanks !!
Bob J.
This Old House did a series on 3 Shore houses that were being raised or rebuilt.
Recall the Point Pleasant Vintage Auto Museum? 10 years looking for a spot and they found one near the waterfront in Point. Opened 6 weeks before Sandy hit. First display was of Club owned Model T's. 4 cars were removed. The others were raised up on cinder blocks above the previous high water level. The 1960's I think. 52" of water flooded the building wrecking cars and displays. They've since reopened.
I have always voted Republican, but if that guy gets the nomination, I won't vote for him. He is repulsive. No gentleman, and not worthy of becoming president.

Spiro Agnew was still taking bribes as VP, from his old job as Mayor of Baltimore, until it was publicized. They had to get rid of him before impeaching Nixon.
I'll check my PBS today. It should explain why so much remains unrestored.
The quote was Christie's response to a question about a week ago or so about the delays in rebuilding the hurricane damaged areas. I didn't mean it to appear political. I simply remembered the news item after you stated; "Co-worker and friends affected are still waiting for completion of house raising and rebuilding. Priorities have indeed changed."
CNN's report:
The heckler was criticizing Christie's handling of Superstorm Sandy on the second anniversary of the storm that devastated the state's coastline. He held a sign that said: "GET SANDY FAMILIES BACK IN THEIR HOME -- FINISH THE JOB."
We get 4+ channels of PBS on dreck tv, but it doesn't show on a search. Maybe it'll be picked up later.
I saw the news with the same pic and content as Ken.
Ken:
You are absolutely correct about the heckler. Hecklers are just that and Christie's response was supported by a majority of New Jerseyans in a recent newspaper/internet poll.
He damn well will never fit behind the wheel in my model T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After his comment of sit down and shut up,i thought he needed a slight adjustment with a oak 4x4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bud.
OK, give us a quick summary why people are still waiting for reconstruction. I think the news said only a small fraction of the $50 Billion has been spent.
Last I read the Fema folks are asking for some of the money already handed out. Dont get me started on fema.
Program on now on PBS station WHYY Philadelphia
