Happened on this search site that gathers listings from many sources. There a lot of vehicles listed many with what appear to be very low prices when looking at the photos and descriptions. Am not anticipating making a purchase, but curious if this is just a "bait and switch" situation. Anybody had any dealings with any of the listers?
Checked on some of the listings and found the actual postings on other sites, where prices are considerably higher than on OODLE.
Waste of time.
Seems to me I stumbled across this a couple of years ago, the name rings a bell. It's pretty much a scam outfit. Probably related to an otherwise fairly quiet bunch thats been on here a while back.
They are what's called a "classifieds aggregator". There's a thousands of them out there. You can't do a search without seeing pages and pages of them. I hate the things. More often than not, they get in the way of my searches.
An example might be searching on "screw threads". You get pages of "Best price on screw threads" or "cheapest screw threads on the web". I'm sure their software discounts the actual price to get you to click on their link. They get paid every time you do. I wish there was a way to block those. You used to be able to enter a "-" in front of key words, like "-buy", to skip a lot of that stuff.
After studying BMW motorcycles for the last couple of months, I have also started to wonder about Oodle. A few nights ago I found multiple Oodle bikes listed on ended eBay listings with the exact same photos, but in other locations and a higher sell price than the current Oodle listing.
I even noticed two Oodle listings of different bikes photographed in the same yard, but with different seller names and locations.
Walter: I found the same thing on a couple of automobiles I looked at. Same photo, different seller and locations. So much for that!!!
