A friend picked up a Hand Phone horn. Anyone know any thing about them?
Handphone was made by Automobile Supply Manufacturing Co.
Just another brand of hand plunger klaxon horn.
Yeah, its got a big plunger on it that when pushed down makes an ahoogah type sound. Often compared to and sometimes referenced as a "Klaxon horn".
Ah Erik, you bear me to it.
Any idea as to manufacture dates?

Google is your friend.
Note that one of the forum threads includes a patent pending number.
Also, various trade journal entries in Google Books.
Have fun.

Thanks guys. The horn is in Arizona for the winter so I've not seen it. I'm gathering up information for Don when he follows the snow melt north next spring. PK
Thank you Erik: That link led to "Automobile Topics", where I just spent the last two hours scrolling the pages. I found the horn that was on my grandfather's '15 T, as a "Stewart Warning", for $5.00 in 1914. The old gent hit it too hard once, and it hadn't made a squawk since '16. I repaired a bushing in '93, and it's now back to annoying the neighborhood. Best regards,
I think i was 15 or 16 when i got a foot operated klaxton from JCWhitney.I used to keep it on the floor of my locker in school and stomp on it every now and then.Bud.
