If it was made after december 1925 it may have the engine # stamped on top of the frame in the hand brake cross shaft area, most often on the passenger side.

The engine serial number can be found above the water inlet on the LH side of the engine.

Here you can find what month it was made:

More detailed info can be found in Bruce Mc Calley's encyclopedia.

The engine serial number is above the water inlet of the side of the engine. This 1926 engine is infested by a water pump.

On a 1926 car made after mid-December 1925, there's a serial number stamped on top of the frame under the floor boards. It's sometimes on the left rail, but is usually on the right. If the car has its original engine, it will be the same number on the engine and on the frame.

Maybe I'll take it to Chickasha and give it to Royce.

From august 1926 on, Ford called them '27:s. More colors available + the engines were more detailed with nickeled bolts and all production used Vaporizer carbs.

Travis,

You mentioned "Found numbers on subframe are they the ones ?" If they were on the subframe of the body there is a possibility they are the Assembly Plant Numbers. If so, they will probably help you determine which Ford assembly plant manufactured your tudor (or your pickup if it has such a number). See the posting at: http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/50893/70005.html for additional information.

If you have one of those numbers, please post a photo or send me a photo. If you click on my name at the beginning of this posting it brings up my profile. My e-mail address is the third line down.

Thanks!

Respectfully submitted,
