The kids and grand kids are all here and I will make the best of it. I mean that in a good way. Maybe some T rides.

From cyberspace a few years ago:
----------

You are more wealthy than you imagined. Keep an eye on your blessings as they grow to spread across the land.

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness......
you are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week.

If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation.......
you are ahead of 500 million people in the world.

If you can attend a church or any public meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death.......
you are more blessed than three billion people in the world.

If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a good roof overhead and a place to sleep........
you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace......
you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.

If your parents are still alive and still married...... you are very rare, even in the United States.

If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful......
you are blessed because the majority can, but do not.

If you can hold someone's hand, hug them or even touch them on the shoulder.......
your are blessed because you can offer Your healing touch.

If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in that someone was thinking of you, and furthermore, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read at all.

At our home this year, we will be counting our "Thanksgiving" blessings.

Happy Thanksgiving to all. Since Mom passed away in September, I'm afraid the dogs and I will have to settle for the traditional cheesy ranch burger hamburger helper - I really don't think they mind. Harv.ThanksgivingThanksgiving

Our oldest son, his wife and his mother in law came. Our youngest son was here too. We had a wonderful home cooked dinner at 3:00 PM and I took them for a ride in the rebuilt T. We went about 6 miles and it ran beautifully with the top down. It was about 80 degrees so we didn't even need any coats. Maybe? we will get some rain next week according to the weather bureau. We sure need it. Even some of the native scrub live oaks are drying up, and they are usually green all year. The lake about 3 miles from here is so low you can see the bottom. But we are thankful because our well has not dried up.

Harvey, sorry to hear of your recent loss. My prayers go out to you. Thank God for your two great companions. They are always a comfort to us humans. Don't know what I'd do without mine. God Bless, and hang in there.

Tim, Thanks for your sympathy, Mom passed 8 days after her 91st birthday. Alziehmer's finally won out, but I know she is in a better place and once again recognizes her children. The dogs and I are recovering and thankfully I am once again in the Model T hobby, What a wonderful group of people. Harv.utility

A piece of Trivia for you.

The original Thanksgiving day lasted a total of three (3) days, and the local Indians came and brought Venison which by this time, the pilgrims were used to eating.

With all the hunters here, and the amazing resurgence of wild turkeys, has nobody bagged their own turkey?

Yes Ralph I did bag a turkey but I got arrested! The police officer said I scared the crap out of the old lady in Aisle 5, Some buckshot just missed the checkout girl and I ruined the freezer cabinet in the A&P. :-)
