I received this from Karen today.
John,
I tried to get on John's MTFCA site but it won't let me. I was going to explain what John had , how he passed and thank everyone for their comments, prayers and thoughts.
Can you post this for me?
Here it is.
In 2013 John was told he had aortic stenosis and nonalcoholic cirrhosis, they gave 5 years. After being tested for surgery, and having endoscope 3 times he started to bleed internally. They tried to fix this but they made the holes in his esophagus bigger. They sent him home. After 30 units of blood in 2014 he said that was enough. He had a stroke in March of 2014 and fell outside. He broke all his ribs in back and had a compound fracture in his spine. They still wanted to operate on his heart and liver. They gave him a 10% chance to live and 5% to be brain dead. He told them no way. Just keep me pain free and my wife will take care of me at home where I want to die in her arms. That is what we did and he was happy.
Thank you John.
Thank you for posting this John. My prayers are with Karen and I must give her a lot of credit for taking care of John because not too many people would do that now a days.
Karen my prayers are for you now.
Had not heard. Thank you for sharing.
He will be missed! Thanks for sharing.
He bought a big load of stuff at my dad's auction. Dad went with him to Hershey several times before then.
I hope I get to go on my own terms. While no one likes the idea of "the end", statistics show that 100% of us ARE going
to croak at some point. We can only hope to be so lucky as to be surrounded by whom and what we love.
I am bummed to have lost a good TT guy, but happy for him that he was loved and got to do it HIS way.
Open roads to you, John. It was good to know you.
Awwwww;?(
Dang He had it rough at the end.Well at least he is in a better place now and not suffering.
Thanks for the follow up from Karen, John.
Bummer.......
I've been wondering about him.
I bought from him and he was top notch!
The T World lost another great one.
Thanks John.. I hope the best for Karen and her family. I hope you don't mind I sent you a message.
