I do not know how many members from down under,
may have served in Vietnam, but here is something you might enjoy.
At Vinh Long Army Airfield, Vinh Long, Vietnam
when I had a little spare time I used to go up into the Air Traffic Control Tower. One day I was up there and out of the ether came nicely accented voices singing "Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport." My buddy turned to me and said "That's the Australians bringing our mail and they will
be going to the mess Hall for a midday meal."
I do not remember the numerical nr"s or the name designation of Australia but I knew them as a Fairchild, CV-7 Caribou.
If you are a Military Veteran, let me thank you for serving in the forces that guard your country.
If Not and you know a Veteran, please than them
on behalf of those of this web site.

Mail Call will be in 1 hour....the longest hour of any soldiers, sailors, marines or airmens life, I remember it well.
and for those who have never heard the song

The &^#% that made that song famous (wont mention his name) is now being kept at Her Majesties pleasure behind bars in the UK for sex attacks on children.
The Aussie Caribou's were based in Vung Tau, Vietnam. The Aussies had a nice club on back Beach. Ahhh - memories.
