Purist's with ETimers. Originals with chrome wheels. Henry Ford in a speedo. Hillary in a thong..with all things wrong in the world today, then this emerges.

That was fantastic. Last year or the year before my brother sent me one of a chorus flash mob at a public mall food court. That was another crowd being surprised.

Enjoy Bach and Handel at the Smithsonian, and follow it with Beethoven in Italy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbJcQYVtZMo

Doesn't seem very realistic. Where are the Muslims, atheists, et al. objecting to the Christmas carols? :-)

I usually reserve getting into the Christmas spirit until later in the season.
Don and Steve just messed up my schedule!

Thank you.

Today our 9 month old grandson is coming by to help decorate for Christmas too.

Thanks Don!

One of the things I like about being older is I still can say "Merry Christmas" and "Happy New Years" and they just write me off as too old to change.....

And then when they see my car they really think I'm old!

Respectfully submitted,

Hap l9l5 cut off

Dick, don't worry, they'll be making their presence known against CHRISTmas soon enough!
Don, that was great. Thanks.
Now, on to try Steve's presentation...I love Bach, Handel and all the classics!

OK Steve...thanks for that one too! Symphony #9 is one of my top classical favorites along with the Halleluia Chorus and altho not necessarily from the classics, Amazing Grace. Back when I captained an excursion boat on Lake Erie we had a Mon. night cruise out of a Methodist establishment and I made sure the organist at the time played one of 'em. Later when he was gone I had #9 and A.Grace on CD.
You should hear the African Childrens choir belt out #9...really beautiful.

Thank you Thank you
I was getting a bit depressed because of all the stupidity going on in the US and that snapped me out of it.

I don't care what the muslims, atheists, idiots, and Obamaites think!
They cannot change the truth - in the final days the truth will be very clear.

Thanks Gents. I rather like the concept of 'Flashmobs', but the selection from Don, Steve and Warwick are brilliant. I have sent off links to them to all of my family.

Is it too early to wish all Forumites a Merry Christmas??
Dane.

Thanks, Don, for the links. I thoroughly enjoyed them. I sent them to my son, who is a Captain in the AF, now stationed in Ramstein, Germany. He was very active in band in high school and at the University (as was I, many moons ago). I noted that the players all had lots of stripes, and he said that they enter the AF Band as E-6's. And that they all have Master's Degrees, at a minimum. They are a very talented group.

That was outstanding and thanks for posting it.

The performance was excellent and I got a charge out of watching the faces of the spectators; the apprehensive expressions of wonder - almost disbelief - at what they were seeing, a true lightning-in-a-bottle moment... There was a museum visit and, unexpectedly, something fleeting and fragile as a soap bubble. And thanks to technology we, too, got to be moved by it. How recently we would never have known it happened.

How GOOD was that?
Definitely soul refreshing.
I say that there should be more of it....much more, no matter how far OT it is.
Its such a relief to see things like this on these pages, rather than the bigoted, nasty, prejudiced, political rantings of late.
