Heard this today while out with Dad
never heard it before
thought I would share
"just" driving a Model T!!....whelll, I declare!!
Great post Shawn, snappy little tune.
I was looking back to see
If you were looking back to see
If I was looking back to see
If you were looking back at me.
You were cute as you could be
Standing looking back at me
And it was plain to see
That I'd enjoy your company.
One Sunday afternoon
As I was ridin' down the street
I met a cute little girl
All dressed up so sweet.
And the way that she was stacked
I wish I'd've had a Cadillac
For who would notice me
Just drivin' this model T.
I was looking back to see
If you were looking back to see
If I was looking back to see
If you were looking back at me.
You were cute as you could be
Standing looking back at me
And it was plain to see
That I'd enjoy your company.
Now listen baby
It doesn't matter to me
Even in your model T
You're as cute as you can be.
If you'll come sit by my side
I will take for a ride
And I will guarantee
we'll have fun oh man alive
Very nice
Great, thanks
I just head another T related tune from the same era - "T model love" by Audrey Williams from an old 1951 radio show with Hank W - but I won't load it to Youtube, that lady just couldn't sing..
T model boogie from 1953 by Roscoe Gordon on the other hand - that's pure talent
All Country music singers should be required to sing a Model T song, and that's all I have to say about that.

That was a pretty risqué song back then. They changed the lyrics for the TV versions. From "stacked" to "click'in".
