I see in the VF Texas T is closing to enjoy retirement. I would like to know if Sure Stop disc brakes are still going to be available through other vendors or it's going to be a thing of the past? I would like a set for my speedster, but money is tight and I need to hold off. I don't want to miss out if they are going away with Texas T parts though. Any one know?
Matt, it is my understanding that the new owners bought Texas T's, lock, stock, and barrel, and that Ben Hardeman even plans to help see that Texas T produced parts get off and running, speaking of manufacturing. There may be a lag in production of some items as the manufacturing transitions from Texas to Iowa.
The folks who bought Texas T Parts are the ones who own Birdhaven Vintage Auto Supply in Iowa. I tried to find a website for them but was unable to. They advertise in the VF magazine.
Bill Devine and family stop by from picking up the Texas T inventory and spent a few hours here in my shop.
Birdhaven now owns Texas T's parts and manufacturing. The Texas T website and the 800 phone number are working and will be answered by the Birdhaven staff.
I have known Bill for a number of years and have always found him to be a straight up kind of guy.
