I received the details for 2015 Speedster reunion today from Rich Johnston of the Museum of American Speed. I'm sure that past participants have also received this info but I thought I would pass along to anyone that is interested.

Hi, Speedster Fans!

Please find attached to this message three files related to the 2015 International Speedsters Trials and Reunion, June 24-27, here in Lincoln, Nebraska, at the Smith Collection Museum of American Speed.

One of the attachments contains a Schedule of Events for the Reunion. Another attachment is the 2015 International Speedsters Trials and Reunion Registration Form and the Hill Climb Racer’s Registration Form. Everyone planning to attend the 2015 Reunion must submit a Reunion Registration Form. Couples and families sharing the same address can submit one joint registration form, but the registration fee of $100 is a per person fee. Your registration fee gets you access to all the reunion events, an event logo t-shirt and canvas tote, and four meals (dinners on Wednesday and Saturday, and lunches on Thursday and Friday). If you will require handicapped accommodations or special dietary requests during the reunion, please indicate those. Also, be sure to circle your preferred shirt size in the first block of the form; that’s for the shirt which comes with each individual’s registration.

If you would like to purchase an additional event shirt(s) at $10 each (for yourself, friends, family), you may pre-order them on the Reunion Registration Form in the “Extra Event T-Shirts” block, and we will have them with your registration materials at Registration Check-in on Wednesday afternoon. We will also have a limited supply of event t-shirts in most sizes for purchase during the reunion on a ‘first come – first served’ basis.

If you plan to compete in Friday’s Hill Climb event, you must also complete the Hill Climb Racer’s Registration Form. The fee for each person who will drive a car(s) in the Hill Climb is $25; if you plan to drive more than one car up the hill, it’s still just the one $25 fee for you. Please provide a detailed description of your car(s) and its/their components so we may pre-classify it as accurately as possible before our tech/safety inspection process. You may also register during the reunion to compete in the Hill Climb if you are not yet decided. Any and all cars will be welcomed to join our Thursday Road Tour, but only the pre-1935 four-cylinder powered cars and speedsters may compete in the Hill Climb.

We will employ F.A.S.T.’s Hill Climb Rules and Classes guidelines for our Hill Climb competition. New F.A.S.T. Hill Climb rules and classes go into effect in January 2015, so I have attached those to this e-mail. Please review them closely, as there are many changes from their guidelines of the past several years.

Finally, note on the Reunion Registration Form that we are now able to accept credit card (VISA and MasterCard) payments for your registration fees and extra shirt purchases.

If you have questions about the reunion, registration, hill climb rules and classes, parking, or the weather, please call or e-mail me and we can discuss them.

We wish to all of you a happy and safe holiday season, and a great start to the new year. Hope to enjoy your company here in June for our 2015 Speedsters Reunion; we’ll do our absolute best to make it worth every moment of your time!

Rich

I will say that this is a good opportunity to spend unguided time in the museum. One complaint that I often hear is that sometimes the guided tours move a little fast and some people like to spend more time in one area or another.
