David, You would be interested to know a full scale authentic replica of that Napier Racer was built in Australia years ago. It is known as Sampson. I will try to get some pictures to compare with the pedal car!

Yes thanks for posting that, I have known about this replica for quite some time.

On The Old Motor yesterday we covered one of the Napier record setting cars at Daytona Beach in 1906 and you can also link to the 1905 record car and watch a video of it and others.
