Contrary to rumors Dave Johnson is still doing Model t babbit work on 4 cylinder engines. He does complete motor, transmission and rear end restoration in Wilkeson Wa. His phone number is 509-901-2929 anytime.

Dave has been doing babbit /model T work for many years and has forgot more about t's than the other guys ever learned.

His rates are quite reasonable and all work is done locally not shipped east like the other guys which cost you more because of the freight and not to mention the additional time.

He has done many bearing jobs for me and other brass ear guys with excellent results and reasonable prices. I have no financial interest just correcting some false rumors that Dave had retired.

just sayin'

Dave has done all the babbit jobs I have had done with good results.

I do think there is someone near Spokane doing babbit work as well. Don't know anything about them.
I think it is these guys:

All subjective opinions.

That Dave is still doing the work is not subjective. I know some have not always been happy but he's done babbit work for me several times and I've always been pleased. While I've never had the Antique Auto Ranch folks do work for me, as consistent performers in the Montana 500 and daily drivers of Model Ts, I would expect their work to be excellent. They would be my go to guys if Dave quit the business.

"That Dave is still doing the work is not subjective." But opinions are, Walt.
