We have been getting many calls wanting to know if we are still in business. After 42 years of serving the Model T hobby we are not going out of business. We have spent too much time developing the business and manufacturing hundreds of new parts for the Model T Ford to go out of business. We were hoping to find someone who would carry on the tradition of providing quality service and quality products. We have had numerous interested parties but no one has the resources to buy the business and we are not going to give away something we have spent a lifetime developing, not to mention we have a million dollars in inventory, tooling and patterns for the parts we manufacture. I was hoping to have time to restore my 1909 and 1911 but that may never happen if I cannot retire. Actually this would be my second retirement as I spent 33 years as an aerospace electrical engineer for North American/Rockwell/Boeing and retired from that in 1992. We have enjoyed the business and I value all of the nice customers we have had over the years. I would miss all of that if I retired. So be assured that we are still in business and do not hesitate to let us know if we can be of assistance with your project.
Thanks Glen. I appreciate all the help I got from you and Dave.
Regards,
Scott
Glad to hear it Glen. You've always been a big help.
You may have to buy the second house next door yet, Glen.
I look forward visiting you and Dave next week.
Bob, I think I'll buy the whole block. Then I can expand the museum and maybe start collecting Metropolitans and Fiats too. Ha!.
Model T's, Metropolitans, Fiats - You are a tormented man Glen
Thanks for all you do.

Bob, We have to have a little fun in all of this madness.
Glenn, I'm glad to hear the clarification of your status. I know my phone calls still go through & Dave still helps straighten me out when I need help. He recently helped figure out a ground strap issue for which I'm very thankful.

Paul, Where hear to please. Well, most of the time. You can't please them all.
Glen, Just an FYI, The Ruckstell rear and the High comp head I bought from you are still going strong after over 3 years.
A little more reason for a trip south and spend green in LA Glen. Now if a cruse south from LA comes up that's in our budget we could stand the traffic in and out anyway LOL!
Our last cruse on the west side the ship backed into a dock and put a three foot hole in the back costing one port and one day on a brand new thousand foot ship.
G'day Glen,
Not sure if you got my thanks reply for your help with the pinion you sent me. If not here it is "THANKS". The part worked beautifully.
Peter
Glen: Nothing wrong with stuffing a "little" Fiat in the corner of your garage.
That's not little, but beautiful. I think I'll stick to Model T's
Yeah, that's my buddy Jon in the picture at an AACA special meet in Danbury Ct. in the early '80s. He's 5'9"ish. How tall do you think that car is - 8 feet?
By the way, it was a reeeeeel scorcher that day!
Glen, the other day I was looking for a part for my neighbors lawn tractor, and the proprietor of this mail order firm I called was trying to sell me on his 100% price premium using service and fast delivery as a reason...out of frustration I finally exclaimed "I guess you've never heard of Glen Chaffin, have you"! He hadn't ... and I didn't buy from him either!
See how you spoil us?
Thanks John, Boy, With a reputation like that I can't afford to go out of business.
I had a power problem with one of my T's that my dad probably used a lot of parts from Glen on. I ask questions on Glen's web site. To my surprise, about 10 minutes later Glen called me on the phone. Told me I should expect around 28 hp with what dad put on and in it. We talked for almost an hour. I am in Missouri, near St Louis! I was amazed he would call. By the way Glen, it wound up a fuel delivery problem.
Harry, Glad you found the problem. I wish I had a dollar for everyone we have helped.
Back in May my wife and I were driving from Vancouver BC to London Ontario, via the USA.
We made a stop at Chaffins Garage in Corona.
Dave was very helpful and had some excellent suggestions.
It got better because Glen showed us his ''garage'' with T's and parts, and even his historic house.
A class act for sure and a great resource for model T owners.
Sorry Glen. It is obvious you cannot retire.
