Where is the correct location on an early 17?

There's no VIN plate on a 1917 Ford.

There's only a serial number on the block.

Note that VIN is a relatively recent term/concept in the history of the automobile.

Here's Royce Peterson's 1917 from an earlier thread:

rp:s

(It's a patent plate, not a Vin plate, no serial numbers on the plate after early 1915 in USA)
