Iíve come across a cylinder head in my stash of Model T parts that is peculiar and Iím curious to find out more about it. It has no scripting nor any other identifiable markings. There is no casting date and the height when measured is approximately 2 ĺ inches. On the underside between the 2nd and 3rd cylinder the letter P appears to have been stamped in a low area and if planed the stamp would be removed. Could this be a proto type head developed for the conversion to the later lower compression heads?
Could be aftermarket or a 1927 Ford head as I think they had no markings. The P would be an inspectors stamp.
Agree with Bill, sounds like a 1927 head.
" in August 1926 the " Made in USA" and "Ford" were being eliminated from the head castings."
