A couple of the pictures are in focus. There's a pet peeve. With digital pictures a hundred shots cost no more than one. If your first picture is crap, shoot it over and get it right.

Looks like a bad attempt at a sand casting of an original to me...?

You can see what looks like the mold casting line running through the threads in the one shot. Look along the same casting line, look like a silver colored material (lead? as in, they took it hook line and sinker). In my OP, even if it were real, which I don't think it is, where was it stored that it has that much corrosion to a bronze casting?

I think the originals were pot metal? Maybe Jay in Nor Cal has one in his stash. I've seen a few crusty ones over the years. Repos can be found in brass and aluminum once and a while.

Ed the one you show in photo, has that real finished look to it where as the one on ebay does not. The seller is saying it a bronze casting anyway and that's why I question what it's made out of.

Its hard to say from the pics, but it "may" be a very corroded original. The weight issue he speaks of makes me wonder about it. The finish may just be a poor "resto" attempt to make a highly corroded piece look a little better. Its not useable but would make a nice display item if original. ??? too high priced for me already ..

One wonders of that cap, sure seems like a bad copy of the original?

Here is the one on eBay now:

This is one of the nicer originals, these sell today for $1k or more! They were made of cast pot metal, so condition is of importance.

This is another original, but in poor condition, as the pot metal swells over bad storage conditions.

Am I the only one who finds that little Henry head more than a little creepy?

It's fine on a shelf, I guess, but on a car? No thanks.

This one would be more affordable and serve the same purpose I think.
