What language was that person trying to write in?
Aaron- "Sat. eve July 20 Arrow points to where our house stood. Farmers State Bank where Hyatt Hotel stood"
I can work out the last three words, but the signature looks like "Pearl"
"Where our house stood ..."
This urban sprawl is getting out of control ! Pretty soon this

"Leave in am"
And today . . .
Wow almost the same camera location!
Nice to finally see a town that wasn't wrecked too much. Still has the angle parking an all. Need to get a bunch of Ts there for a re shoot.
Windom, Minnesota is named after William Windom who served as a U.S. Representative, U.S. Senator and Secretary of the Treasury in the late 1800s.
Most of you probably are familiar with his great grandson, William Windom the actor, even if you don't know him by name. He passed away a couple years ago.
I attended Windom Elementary school in southwest Minneapolis and there is also a Windom Park in northeast Minneapolis, both named after the same William Windom. Subsequently, two neighborhoods named after Windom, the Windom neighborhood and the Windom Park neighborhood which are located in opposite ends of the city.
More than you ever wanted to know…...
Two Ford Centerdoor sedans. They must've been popular in our cold climate.
Had a great-uncle / aunt who lived just outside of town. Uncle John and his brother Albert started with Ts but moved up to Dodge Bros. cars pretty quickly.
I have a good friend who grew up in Windom.
He'll enjoy the link........
