hello, just finished putting back on my newly cleaned painted wheels and new tires on my 24 coupe, I followed all info I gather here, methods of packing bearings, and re assembly on the hubs. All of my wheels feel good as far as loose play but my drivers front has about 1/4 " of loose play when I take the top of the wheel and move it left to right. It is on as far as I can get it with out the wheel not able to turn freely, is this a concern or just a fact that 3 are good and one is not for a almost 100 year old car. thank you in advance! Charles
Charles -- If your wheel bearing is adjusted properly, the play probably is in the spindle-to-axle connection. The spindle bolt and/or its bushings probably are worn.
Bob's in Loves Park will have the bolts and bushings.

Here is a hint to determine if its the king pin or the bearing. Wedge puts the spindle fixed fast (king pin) and if the wheel wiggles, its the wheel bearing that needs attention.
