Saturday, March 28, 2015 with it snowing outside and help from two great friends Ken and Paul, we installed my newly rebuild engine. Ken is showing me how to time a T engine. It looks like he is using a very expensive T timing tool.

Happy motoring,

Warren

Helpful use of the timing tool, for the Ford only roller timer. If using other style of timer, that tool won't always do it correct.

Have been successful with eye-balling the crank pulley pin, to the 3:30/9:30 o'clock position, placing #1 just past TDC.

Most fun using the TW Components tool, little LED indicator wired to coil box terminal, it goes off when the timer case is rotated to the correct spot, in tandem with the TW timing tool, a neat gage placed into #1, locates TDC, and the exact 15 degrees past for the proper timing.

Correct position of the crank pulley pin after using the above tools.

The only tools needed to set the timing are this one and some pliers to bend a cotter pin.
